Cooperation

Interaction and cooperation with various societal operators is an important resource for all Faculty researchers, teachers and students. The forms of cooperation add up to a broad spectrum, from an informal exchange of ideas to systematic and long-term cooperation in teaching, research and public engagement. At the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, we wish to make the expertise and activities of our staff and students available to society as effectively as possible. Our goal is to conduct top-level research in the field and match the knowledge we produce with the people who need it. In addition, we consider it important that our teaching fulfils employer needs and that our students establish contacts to the labour market already during their studies.

As our partner, you have access to the latest research-based knowledge, can establish contact with makers of the future and will embark, together with us, on looking for solutions to current sustainability challenges. By donating funds to the Faculty, you contribute to building the future by supporting the generation of new knowledge and the education of experts. Our alumni are important to us as partners in dialogue, messengers and sought-after guest lecturers on our courses. In cooperation with our students and researchers, your business or community will be able to develop its operations on the basis of research-based knowledge. We take part in cooperation conducted with the entire University’s partners, Stockholm University, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Nairobi. We also conduct bilateral cooperation with a number of Finnish and international universities and research institutes.
