Join us in discussing the past and present developments in Nicaragua. During the past 50 years, Nicaragua has been at the forefront of political change in Latin America. Current political division of the country is of interest in light of political repression, popular movements, democracy, and human rights.

Carlos Fernando Chamorro Barrios Nicaraguan independent investigative journalist. Founder and editor of Confidencial, a news resource of investigative journalism and of current affairs. Recipient of the Ortega y Gasset Award 2021.
Periodista de investigación independiente nicaragüense. Fundador y editor de Confidencial, un recurso en línea que combina el periodismo de investigación y el análisis de la actualidad. Galardonado el Premio Ortega y Gasset 2021.
Margarita Vannini Historian. Since 1990, director of Instituto de Historia de Nicaragua y Centroamérica of the Central American University (Managua), with focus on social history and memory.
Historiadora. Desde 1990 Directora General del Instituto de Historia de Nicaragua y Centroamérica de la Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) en Managua. Especialidad: historia social y sobre memoria.
Daniel Rodríguez Associate Professor of Political Science at Universitat de Girona and UNED. Specialist in Latin American revolutionary processes (Cuba, El Salvador and Nicaragua).
Profesor asociado en ciencias políticas en la Universidad de Girona y profesor tutor en la UNED. Ha estudiado procesos revolucionarios en América Latina (Cuba, El Salvador y Nicaragua).
