Currently I am coordinating the critical edition of Annibal Caro’s letters (the project involves the participation of 7 post-doc researchers) and studying the correspondence in French and Italian between some Finnish Romanists and several Italian colleagues living at the beginning of the 20th century.

My current research interests include: 1) interaction of autistic preadolescents (prosody of speech, gaze behavior and understanding problems); 2) problems of pronunciation and features of foreign intonation as causes of understanding problems; 3) audio description (prosodic features), 4) speech-to-text interpreting (prosody vs. structure of the written target text), 5) telephone interpreting (understanding problems, repairs), 6) expatriate Finns’ speech (prosody of code-switchings), and 7) phonetic aspect of politeness.
