FBBS researcher interviewed on apiculture in Helsingin Sanomat

FBBS researcher and doctoral trainee Arttu Malkamäki was interviewed in the main national newspaper of Finland, Helsingin Sanomat, in September.

The story addressed beekeeping, including the importance of bees and other pollinators in the global food system and the threats facing the pollinator populations, especially the rapid land use changes. The story was especially targeting younger readers of the newspaper. The story published in Helsingin Sanomat is available in Finnish here.

Arttu has conducted research on the impacts of land use changes on the resilience of beekeeping in Uruguay (see an article published in 2016 in Forest Policy and Economics here).
