The fate of circus people during and after the Nazi era

Short video on the exhibition Vergessene Kosmopoliten (Forgotten Cosmopolitans) that was open in Berlin last autumn.

The exhibition "Vergessene Kosmopoliten" (Forgotten Cosmopolitans) by the research project Forgotten Cosmoplitans was open in the Berlin Circus Cabuwazi (Venusstraße 90, Altglienicke) 27 August - 3 September 2022. The exhibition dealt with the fate of circus people in the Nazi era and the early post-war period in Europe. Here is a short video on the opening of the exhibition with Cabuwazi site manager Tim Schneider, curators Malte Gasche and Martin Holler as well as Holocaust educator Solvej Berlau.

The exhibition is designed as a traveling exhibition and can be booked as required. The exhibition is part of the Forgotten Cosmoplitans project funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Art and Culture and the Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ)".
