The Faculty’s operational units are located in Helsinki on Viikki Campus and in Lahti on the Lahti University Campus.
Findings made by our international and world-class research groups are needed to tackle challenges relating to the wellbeing of humans and the environment. Our research infrastructures are a prerequisite for conducting research. Our Faculty is involved in a number of national and international research and research infrastructure networks.
Our Faculty is research intensive, making novel research methods visible also in our teaching. Most of the master’s theses produced at the Faculty are completed in research groups.
Verdant Viikki Campus is surrounded by numerous research fields and has operated in front lines of the life sciences since 1946. The campus employs nearly 1,900 people and has more than 6,000 students.
