The easiest and most affordable way of getting to the city center from the airport is the train. There are two trains that run between the airport and the Central Railway Station (the final stop): train I and train P. The entrance to the train station is located between terminals 1 and 2. Please note that it is not possible to buy a ticket on the train, so you'll need to buy a regional ticket at one of the following spots at the airport:

There are also two buses that operate between the aiport and the Central Railway Station: The Finnair CIty Bus and the bus 615. The bus stops are right in front of the terminals.
Taxis are also available right in front of the terminals.

The GLO Hotel is within reasonable walking distance from the university, but trams 3 and 6 will also take you to the Metsätalo building, where the colloquium is held.

The Helsinki region has an integrated public transport ticket system. This means that the same tickets can be used on buses, trams, the metro, commuter trains and the ferry to the Fortress of Suomenlinna.
You can purchase single tickets or a day ticket. The tickets available on single-charge cards allow you to travel easily and at low-cost for 1–7 days. They are sold e.g. at the Helsinki City Transport service point in the Central Railway Station.
Please note that while it is possible to buy tickets from bus drivers, it is not possible to buy tickets on trams and commuter trains. There are, however, ticket machines on all tram and train stops. More information on the HSL website.
