Helena Hinke Dobrochinski Candido is a post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Helsinki, Finland. She holds a PhD in Political Sociology and a Master’s degree in Regional Development. Her main research interest lies in education policy and governance. She is particularly concerned with large-scale assessments and indicators as instruments of education governance, the interface of public and private actors in education politics, marketization and privatization in education. She currently works on the research project "Demystifying education export: analyzing the effects of Finnish education export from the perspective of the importer", funded by the Academy of Finland (2019-2022). Her primary geographical focuses of research are Brazil and Finland.
