We are now looking for a

TRAINEE for the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies

The trainee will assist the Collegium researchers in their various research projects. Your tasks will include processing research material, retrieving information, editing publications, linguistic support, translating texts, organizing and assisting at academic events and assisting with communications. 

We expect you to have a good command of English, and other language skills are an asset. We particularly appreciate interest in research and in working as a research assistant in projects related to the humanities and social sciences. We also appreciate willingness to engage with a variety of tasks, including more practical ones such as those related to organizing events. We appreciate a brisk attitude, team spirit and good organizational skills. Furthermore, we regard skills related to visual and digital communications an asset. In addition to the capabilities described above, we hope that you will adapt well to our open and collaborative work community.

We offer you an international work environment and interesting assignments related to research in the humanities and social sciences. We support your work with active guidance so that you can get the most out of your traineeship.

The duration of a traineeship is 1 September to 31 December 2021 (four months) of part-time (50%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €700 per month for a part-time (50%) trainee.
