Kajander Lab

Our research focuses on studies on the molecular structure and mechanism of proteins, recently mostly neuronal, in particular synaptic proteins, and how they shape the connections and regulate synaptic transmission. Other targets include e.g. membrane integral transporters and neurotrophic factors. We also collaborate on various structural biology projects with local bioscience research groups with interest in structural studies in particular through the protein crystallography core facility.
