Single-cell Transcriptomics of Cancer

We study cell fate decisions; why a cell survives through a perturbation that kills many other cells? We explore this in the context of high-grade serous ovarian cancer that typically becomes resistant to applied therapies after initial response. We investigate the roles of somatic copy number aberrations, the tumor microenvironment, and various signalling pathways in both pre-existing resistant states and treatment-induced, potentially adaptive patterns.
