Molecular Science

Welcome to the webpage of the Molecular Science working group! We are a diverse group of researchers in the Department of Chemistry, on the Kumpula campus of the University of Helsinki, including both laser scientists and other experimentalists, as well as computational and theoretical chemists. Generally our interests focus on molecular systems relevant in atmospheric and aqueous chemistry, with a special focus on optical and other electro-magnetic properties of molecules. Although our groups all pursue their own independent research, we foster mutual collaboration by organizing seminars and colloquia we all participate in. We cooperate in teaching complementary courses and we encourage students to participate in research projects which may overlap among two or more group members. We also generally allow each others' research group members to use our shared experimental equipment (listed below).
