Human Disease Genetics

Human Genetics: Discovery and Translation

The Daly Lab consists of researchers in two locations - the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) (at HiLIFE and University of Helsinki) and the Analytic and Translational Genetics Unit (ATGU) at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH/HMS) and Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. The teams' activities in both locations are deeply interconnected with each other and a number of close collaborating labs at both institutions. Major focal activities surround the FinnGen and SUPER projects based at FIMM with strong collaborations in Boston - and large-scale gene discovery in IBD, schizophrenia and autism (primarily via exome sequencing) led by the group at the Broad Institute.
