HALS Workshop 3. Insular Worlds: The Indigenous Peoples and Languages of Sakhalin and Hokkaido

In connection with the field trip to Hokkaido and Sakhalin in August 2014, the HALS community organized two international seminars dealing with the languages and ethnicities of the Northern Pacific and Northeast Asia. The first seminar took place under the title “Insular Worlds” on Monday, May 19, 2014, and included presentations by several noted specialists from Japan, Russia and Poland.
