The ORF library clones are available in Gateway-based entry vectors and we provide cloning service into various Gateway destination vectors for Biocenter Finland research groups.

Clones in the libraries are glycerol stocks, provided as streaks on bacterial plates.
We also have control vectors with EmGFP or mCherry as the insert in various Gateway expression vectors. Enquire for more information on the control vectors.
We do cloning from the ORFeome collection, as well as from your own Gateway-compatible PCR products and plasmids to a number of destination vectors. Additionally we provide help in designing primers to create Gateway-compatible PCR products. The cloned products are delivered as transfection grade minipreps and glycerol stocks. Minipreps can be delivered by mail if necessary.

In addition to other expression vectors GBU does cloning to lentivirus vectors. If you are interested in lentivirus production service, please contact Biomedicum Virus Core (HelVi BVC). Please contact bvc-support@helsinki.fi for more information. GBU can provide BVC with your lentivirus constructs.
Look up your gene of interest in the libraries and copy paste the data to the following request form. If cloning to another vector is needed, please specify the vector in the form. Email the form to bch-gbu (a) helsinki.fi.
GBU also performs cloning reactions to customer-provided Gateway-compatible entry-constructs and PCR products. Please, deliver your samples to GBU sample fridge (Biomedicum Helsinki 1, 5th floor, room B505b). If you send samples by mail please use the address below:

The clones from the libraries are provided only to Biocenter Finland research groups. The clones are provided free of charge but a packaging fee of 20€ is charged for delivered clones. Cloning reactions are 40€ / cloning.

Cloning of an ORFeome clone to an expression vector: processing fee of the clone: 20€, LR cloning to an expression vector: 40€, total 60€.
Cloning of your own PCR product to expression vector: PCR primer design free of charge, BP cloning to entry-vector: 40€, LR cloning to an expression vector: 40€, total 80€.
