Enhancer Biology

Enhancer Biology lab studies gene regulation and genome architecture controlled by transcription factors using genome-wide functional genomics methods. Our aim is to understand enhancer malfunction and genome plasticity in distinct tissue- and organ-specific cancer types using an unbiased genome-wide approach. We employ a novel cellular transformation assay for identifying cancer-specific regulatory features and gene networks with an ultimate goal of understanding the genesis of cancer.
