University researcher and adjunct professor (dosentti) specialised in the measurement of economic development and welfare. In particular, my research topics concentrate on the measurement of income, consumption and wealth. I have additionally researched the growth and distribution of income, consumption and wealth as well as the potential (balance sheet) risk of net wealth on economies. Besides the aforementioned research, I lecture at the university. I give annual courses in the master programme of social sciences on “Challenges of Globalization, Sustainable Development and Changing Society to the Measurement of Economies and Welfare” and in the Master's Programme in Contemporary Societies on "Introduction to the Framework of Economic Statistics". I work 25% for the Centre for Consumer Society Research, University of Helsinki and 75% for the European Central Bank.

I am working as a doctoral candidate at the Centre for Consumer Society Research. In my PhD, I study everyday food practices involving meat in Finnish households. I am interested in how these practices enact relations between humans, animals intertwined in food production, and the environment. Theoretically, my research is situated within practice theories and feminist care theories.

I'm an economic sociologist interested in how the uses we invent for new technologies are shaped by how we imagine the economy to work. My research concerns the data economy, data activism and automated decision-making. In my doctoral thesis I examined alternative imaginaries about the data economy. My work has been published in e.g. New Media & Society, Big Data & Society and Surveillance & Society.
