The Animals Make Identities: The Social Bioarchaeology of Late Mesolithic and Early Neolithic Cemeteries in North-East Europe (AMI)  project uses various biomethods (e.g., osteology, use-wear analysis, microarchaeology of soil samples and dental calculus, isotopes and DNA) for studying aspects of the life histories of the humans, animals and animal-derived artefacts in prehistoric burial sites. All data are combined in spatial analyses and statistical analyses, and the synthesis of the identities of the deceased and human-animal relationships is described.
