Our research aims at sustainable intensification of food animal production systems and reducing their environmental footprint. Our research on ruminants and monogastric animals focuses on preservation and utilization of alternative feeds such as forage and grain legumes. Feeding value of novel protein feed sources such as microalgae and insects are also under examination as improving supplementary protein self-sufficiency in national and EU level is one of our main interests.
