Are you planning a workshop or seminar?
We welcome other university departments as well as non-university institutions to rent the TZS facilities for workshops and seminars. TZS offers a stunning view of the sea and a unique scenic setting for your meeting.
TZS has two bigger lecture rooms for ca 40 – 70 persons and several smaller rooms for meetings. The student dormitory holds a room with a fire-place, which can flexibly be used either for socializing or as a lecture room for ca 50 persons. Slightly separated from the main building, the “Pavilion” has a meeting room for up to 20 persons. All lecture rooms have a data projector, flip chart, whiteboard and WiFi.
Seminar guest are primarily accommodated in the student dormitory with 20 double rooms (bathrooms and showers in the corridors), a room with a fire-place, and self-service kitchens. Additional accommodation is available in the “Pavilion” (10 single rooms, one double room) and the other dormitories.
Meals from our own kitchen are served in the dining room (seating ca 70 persons), which offers a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast is served 8 – 9, lunch 12 – 13, coffee 14:30 – 15:00 and dinner 17 – 18. Evening meals can be ordered and example menus can be requested from the office. The evening meals are brought to the dormitories’ kitchens, where seminar guests do the serving themselves. However, festive dinners in the dining room can also be arranged.
TZS has a large sauna, with two steam-rooms, a shower room, a log-fire room and dressing room. The sauna is located by the sea and swimming in the sea is possible all year around – through a hole in the ice in winter.
BOOKING, ARRIVAL AND PAYMENT
Enquiries and bookings are handled by Mariella Holstein-Myllyoja. You may also send e-mail to our office email@example.com. The office in the main building takes care of the reception and information for our guests. The opening hours are 9.00 - 15.00 on work days. Keys are returned here, as well as payments and billing when leaving. The office also sells TZS textiles, small gift-items and post-cards. A map is found here.
The preliminary reservation should be confirmed as soon as possible. The confirmed reservation can be cancelled a month before the start of the seminar without charge. If the reservation is cancelled after this, the cancellation fee is 85 euros. However, the cancellation fee is 170 euros if the seminar is cancelled within the last week.
A confirmed participant list has to be sent two weeks before the beginning of the seminar. All special diets and food limitations have to be requested at the same time.
The invoicing will be done according to the participant list. Absent participants will be charged at half the price (apart from absence due to sickness).
