The Living Lab research and learning environment
New kinds of collaboration models and facilities make it possible to investigate wood materials, buildings and their users.
The station, located approximately an hour’s drive from Tampere, offers year-round services for research, course activities and other gatherings. Research topics at the station range from the depths of the soil to atmospheric processes. A recently constructed building and the Living Lab research environment enable multidisciplinary research and teaching related to the effects of the built environment on sustainability, the climate and wellbeing.
