I am an adjunct professor in Biological Anthropology. My current research is two-fold. First, I run a project on horses' personality and human - horse interactions. My questions have to do with interspecies compassion and empathy, and the relevance of recognising individuality in cooperation. I also probe into the causes of personality and its consequences on welfare. Secondly, I study animal emotions and people's ability to recognise them. Finally, my primate research is still ongoing, with broad-ranging themes including personality, friendship, cooperation, and empathy.
