The course consists of practical work on sample preparation, microscopy and image analysis. The covered topics include: sample preparation for light microscopy, wide-field and confocal microscopy, high-content, live-cell imaging, FRAP, light-sheet microscopy, basic image analysis and deconvolution. In addition, the students write a report using the microscopy data obtained during the course.
By the end of the course students will have hands on experience from the most common light microscopy methods, which will help them get started with their own imaging projects. In addition, students will also be familiar with sample preparation and data analysis for the presented techniques.
