PhD student Aleksi Heiskanen has joined FBBS

The project researches applicability of future-oriented market research in the context of forest-based industries.

PhD student Aleksi Heiskanen has joined FBBS in autumn 2020. He will work on a project titled ‘Corporate foresight in the renewal of forest-based industries’ (MEEMI 2020-2023).

The project researches applicability of future-oriented market research in the context of forest-based industries. The aim is to understand the existing uses and needs of foresight in the context of the forest-based industry, management and decision making and address these needs by exploring appropriate foresight approaches for companies, and especially in the context of SMEs.

The project is funded by Metsämiesten Säätiö. The project also involves post-doc researcher Elias Hurmekoski and Prof. Anne Toppinen.
