Paper on China's climate responsibility wins international award

Sanna Kopra's paper wins the International Studies Association English School Section's Outstanding Research Paper Award

Postdoctoral researcher Sanna Kopra's paper “China and international climate responsibility: Agency and Institutional Change”, which was first presented in Baltimore at the 2017 International Studies Association conference,  has won the ISA English School Section's Outstanding Research Paper Award in the "junior scholar" category. The paper was honored at the 2018 ISA Annual Conference in San Francisco in the beginning of April.

Sanna Kopra is one of the recent additions to the Aleksanteri Institute's growing group of researchers working on Russian environmental studies. She defended her thesis in political science in 2016 in Tampere. Sanna belongs to a team of 11 scholars working on the projects lead by professor Veli-Pekka Tynkkynen and her current research is connected to a three-year project Assessing Intermediary Expertise in Cross-Border Arctic Energy Development.

Sanna Kopra's award-winning paper will be published in International Organization in the Anarchical Society. The Institutional Structure of World Order edited by Tonny Brems Knudsen  and Cornelia Navari (Palgrave Macmillan) later this year.
