Wood anatomy responses to water availability
In late summer 2020, Magdalena Held was collecting wood cores from pine, spruce and birch trees growing in moist and dry sites near Hyytiälä research station. She is analysing the wood cores this winter to learn how trees’ structure has responded to water availability.
