Many congrats to my post-doc and former PhD student, Mónica Ferreira, for receiving today the Albert Wuokko Award, Finland's most prestigious Pharmaceutical Award bestowed by the Finnish Pharmaceutical Society at the 1st FinPharmSci 2018, for the best doctoral thesis in Pharmaceutical Scinces:
"Multifunctional Nanoparticles for Targeted Drug Delivery and Imaging for Ischemic Myocardial Injury"
We are extremely proud of you, fantastic achievement!
This is second time our group gets such award, the previous one was by Dr. Luis Bimbo in 2012, with the thesis:
"Biocompatibility and Biofunctionalization of Mesoporous Silicon Particles"
