Congratulations to Ina Satokangas for the best student talk prize in the 4th Symposium for Molecular Ecology and Evolution in Finland!

After a myriad of virtual conferences, the 4th FinMolEcol was among the first real-life meetings for a long while.

The 4th Symposium for Molecular Ecology and Evolution was held near Oulu, with more than 40 participants eager to meet up in real life and share their exciting research. Ina Satokangas (ESB - SpecIAnt) won the prize for the best student talk with her presentation on hybridization in Finnish wood ants.

Warm congratulations go as well to other prize winners from the Uni Helsinki - Muktai Kuwalekar (Integrative Evolutionary Biology) and Antti Miettinen (Evolution, Conservation and Genomics) for the 2nd and 3rd prices, as well as Mauno Kolu from the University of Oulu for the best student poster!

Sincere thanks for all the symposium organisers for the fantastic meeting!
