Chemical Ionisation Mass Spectrometry Meeting in Seattle, USA, 2018

In June 2018, Chemical Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (CIMS) meeting was hosted successfully in University of Washington, Seattle, USA, jointly by University of Washington and Aerodyne Research.

From June 6th to 9th, Tofware tutorial, instrumentation update and methodology development as well as the newest results of different experiments and campaigns were shown and discussed. Tuija Jokinen, Monica Passananti and Yanjun Zhang from our institute attended this meeting, together with other researchers from 22 different institutes and universities all around the world.

Monica presented her new instrumentation study, ’Is it possible to predict the fragmentation of clusters inside an Atmospheric Pressure interface Time Of Flight (APi-TOF) mass spectrometer?’, while Yanjun also presented a new data analysis method, ‘Novel Factor Analytical Techniques Applied to Highly Oxygenated Molecules (HOMs)’. Last CIMS meeting was held in Helsinki, Finland, by University of Helsinki in June, 2017.
