ECCE-project invites applications for a fixed term
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER POSITION
for a two or three year period, starting 1.1.2018 (or as agreed).
We are looking for candidates whose research themes are relevant for the overall goal of the project which is to “break new ground in cultural evolutionary studies by combining up-to-date cultural evolutionary theorizing with detailed textual and cultural analyses of key topics, in order to analyze the possible selective advantage of early Christian groups and texts in their Jewish and Greco-Roman cultural context” preceding the Constantinian turn. The project is focusing on Early Christianity but for this position we are also looking for candidates whose background is in social psychology or the cognitive science of religion, and candidates whose research plan deals with or is relevant for the analysis of the possible selective advantage of any religious group over others within the ancient Mediterranean cultural context.
