Jesse presents at ISME17

Jesse Harrison, a postdoc at ABRU, attended the 17th International Symposium on Microbial Ecology (ISME17) in Leipzig, Germany.

The conference is the largest within the field of microbial ecology and typically attracts around 2000 attendees. Jesse presented a poster focusing on the Next Generation Tool for Environmental Assessment project, as part of the session ‘Ecological Principles in Polluted Environments’. His work has focused on 16S and 18S rRNA gene metabarcoding for monitoring the status of seafloor habitats.
