Terttu Nevalainen elected as a Fellow of British Academy

Professor Terttu Nevalainen is elected to a Fellowship of the British Academy for establishing historical sociolinguistics as a systematic field.

Professor Terttu Nevalainen has been elected to a Fellowship of the British Academy for establishing historical sociolinguistics as a systematic field. The fellowship consists of around 1,400 world-leading scholars and researchers. We congratulate Terttu on her election as well as on her recent retirement – she will continue her work at the University of Helsinki as Professor Emerita, Research Director, and Director of Varieng.
