European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) has awarded its Albert Renold Prize to Timo Otonkoski. The Prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in research on the islets of Langerhans. This is the first time the award came to Finland. The Prize lecture was held on September 17th 2019 in Barcelona at the EASD annual meeting, attended by 15000 participants.
