Associate Professor Sara Wickström elected as EMBO member

Associate Professor Sara Wickström from STEMM Research Program and Helsinki Institute of Life Science HiLIFE, University of Helsinki, has been elected as a member of the European Molecular Biology Organization, EMBO, as the organization announced 63 new members in 2020-

Sara Wickström is the third member of STEMM Research Program to receive this prestigious membership, and will join the network of over 1,800 leading researchers. In total 26 Finns have be honoured the membership, including the STEMM Research Program Members, Academy Professors Anu Suomalainen-Wartiovaara and Elina Ikonen.

EMBO is an organization that promotes excellence in the life sciences in Europe and beyond. The major goals of the organization are to support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information, and help build a research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.
