Out-of-the-box approaches and practices to integrating technologies into STEM teaching

Olive project gathered its members together for a pedagogical cafe on 16 March to discuss various approaches when technologies are integrated into STEM teaching.

One of the main aims of the Olive project is to develop the use of technology to enhance STEM teaching in Palestinian universties. The pedagogical cafe encouraged Olive team members to explore various ways in which technology can be used to promote teacher students' learning on STEM related phenomena. The focus was on the use of Moodle and Zoom as facilitating learning environments and Flinga and Zoom's breakout rooms were used for group work to evoke conversation on how these environments can be harnessed to teach the STEM related phenomena. The group work was followed by a lively discussion on how to activate students' critical thinking with the use of technology.
