Abstract:
We describe some problems and results for formally determined (not over-determined) inverse (coefficient determination) problems for the perturbed wave equation. The problems have little geometry since the wave speed is constant. The difficulties are in the analysis associated with proving the injectivity of non-linear or even linear maps. Even some basic problems remain unsolved.
