When publishing any material arising from work carried out at the Helsinki Center for X-ray Spectroscopy, do not forget to acknowledge us. To fulfill this obligation, the following acknowledgment statement is to be used in all cases:
"We acknowledge the Helsinki Center for X-ray Spectroscopy for providing experiment time and support with the [xxxx] spectrometer under Proposal number [xxxx]."
Finally, for research output statistic purpose, we also kindly ask you to send us references of all publications related to experiments carried out at the Center for X-ray Spectroscopy as soon as possible after publication date. Please use our publication submission form.
Our experimental facilities use ionizing radiation, electricity, chemicals, and occasionally potentially harmful or dangerous gases. Any individual carrying out work physically on site at our Center for X-ray Spectroscopy has to follow a mandatory on-site orientation and agree to our safety guidelines.
When accessing our facilities, using our infrastructure, and publishing your data, you will need to adhere to the Kumpula campus code of conduct as well as the ethical principles of science as laid out in the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity.
The Data Policy of the Center is based on the PaNdata Data Policy which was a deliverable of the European FP7 project PaN-data Europe delivered in 2011 and updated to the recent standards of PaNOSC/ExPaNDS. The Data Policy defines the Center as the custodian of raw data and metadata. This means the RI will provide users with automatically collected metadata for all experiments carried out on its premises. The Data policy adheres to the FAIR Data Principles, which are a set of guiding principles in order to make data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
