ACTRIS Finland is the Finnish component of the Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Reseach Infractructure (ACTRIS). ACTRIS is a European distributed infrastructure offering high quality data and research infrastructure services for atmospheric aerosols, clouds, and trace gases. ACTRIS serves a vast community of users working on atmospheric research, climate and Earth system and air quality models, satellite retrievals, weather analysis and forecast systems.
ACTRIS Finland is based on a large number of existing observational sites and exploratory platforms operating on a national level from the Baltic Sea to Finnish Arctic, as well high quality observation sites overseas.
ACTRIS Finland belongs to the Finnish Research Infrastructure roadmap 2021-2024 as a major part of INAR (Institute of Atmospheric and Earth System Research) RI. ACTRIS Finland national facilities are currently used by over 30 international research projects and they host over 3200 research visitor days annually. ACTRIS Finland is actively collaborating with ICOS ERIC, PEEX, Future Earth, iLEAPS and private sector partners.
