We work on methods development and their application in evolutionary sequence analysis. Our current research topics include population genetics, analysis of high-throughput sequencing data, and development of sequence alignment and visualization tools for evolutionary and comparative studies.
Our main research directions are:
- Methods for sequence alignment and comparative sequence analysis
- Role of template switch mutations in gene and genome evolution
- Population genetics of small, isolated populations
