Technology development and innovations

The research findings are actively applied for the benefit of society through the valorization of innovations and spinoff companies.

We work actively together with Helsinki Innovation Services Ltd, the technology transfer office of the University of Helsinki. Many of our projects lead to the filing of invention disclosures and patent applications with the aim of commercializing our research through licensing and spinoff companies. Several success stories including Herantis Pharma Ltd and Mobidiag Ltd originate from the Institute.
