The Power of Thought was the main exhibition of the Helsinki University Museum from 2015 to 2021. The exhibition focused on students, teachers and scholars, and showcased objects associated with the history of research, teaching and the University, such as imperial portraits, microscopes from different periods, anatomical models, and the University’s original charter and silver sceptres from 1640. More recent objects included the computer used by Linus Torvalds and a pair of student overalls from 2007.
A mobile guide was created for the exhibition and can still be used to explore it. The guide is based on the Tarinatallennin tool developed by Momeo Oy.
