Culture Kids

Helsinki University Museum joins City of Helsinki’s Culture Kids project by organising activities for locals born in 2023.

All children born in Helsinki in or after 2020 can be registered in the Culture Kids project. Sponsors will invite the registered children to at least two events each year. The events are suited to the developmental stage of the children and support the wellbeing of the families. The children will receive invitations until they start school.

The sponsors for children born in 2023 will be the Helsinki University Museum, the Museum of Finnish Architecture, the Design Museum, the Helsinki City Museum, the National Museum of Finland and the Association of Cultural Heritage Education in Finland.

The Helsinki University Museum will organise the first year’s events in its various locations. You will have the opportunity to participate in a baby drawing class at the Art Room, do baby pilates in the garden of the Helsinki Observatory in the summer, explore baby naming trends, and get your hands dirty in the soil.

If your child was born in or after 2020 and currently lives in Helsinki, you can register them in the Culture Kids project. All events are free of charge for the children and their families.

The Culture Kids service is coordinated by the City of Helsinki’s Culture and Leisure Division and supported by the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation.
