Exhibition opening hours

PLEASE NOTE! From 4 December 2021 everyone aged 16 and over must show a coronavirus entry pass when entering the Observatory's exhibition. Please be prepared to show your ID.

NB! Thank you for not using stud shoes in the Observatory because of the old floors!

Irregular opening hours 2021:

From 3.6.2021: The exhibitions of the Observatory are open Thu 12–20, Fri–Sat 12–16.

The exhibitions of the Observatory are open normally on Sat 6.11.2021.
The exhibitions of the Observatory are closed from Sun 19.12.2021 – Wed 5.1.2022., Thu 6.1.2022 open 12–16.

Admission charges

(the permanent exhibition on the main floor and the current special exhibition, NOT including the towers or the planetarium)

  • Adults: EUR 8
  • Pensioners, students, University of Helsinki staff, members of Ursa, conscripts, the unemployed: EUR 6
  • Children from 7 to 17 years: EUR 4
  • Children under 7 years: Free admission
  • Family ticket (1–2 adults and 1–4 children): EUR 16
  • Group, min. 8 persons: EUR 7/person
  • With Museum Card: Free admission
