The research initiative of HSSH Datafication of society and SSH Research that focuses on the opportunities and challenges of the rapidly evolving, data-intensive, digitalized infrastructures.

Following the mission of the institute, the programme supports multidisciplinary research that focuses on “datafication” as social and cultural process that shapes the patterns of interaction and circulation of information in societies, and as an evolving context for social sciences and humanities that opens new methodological opportunities, raises crucial epistemological questions and demands constant ethical and legal reflection.

The initiative currently employs three Program Directors and three Doctoral Students, who are writing their theses as a part of the initiative.
