Doctoral education

The doctoral degree is the highest academic degree and qualifies the graduate first and foremost for research positions. The core part of a postgraduate degree consists of the student’s own research work, conducted under an experienced researcher’s supervision usually in a research group.

Doctoral education provides a solid foundation not only for the researcher's career, but also for a wide range of tasks in society and the business community. Experienced researchers and specialists in their field are in demand at universities, research institutes, schools and other educational establishments as well as in business.

Some 60 doctors graduate from the Faculty every year.
