Workshop on Critical research in international law

The Erik Castrén Institute organised a workshop on “What is Critical Research in International Law Today?

” on Friday 31 August 2018.

The workshop consisted of two parts. The morning was devoted for a Master Class – a discussion between Professors Anne Orford (Melbourne) and Martti Koskenniemi (Helsinki) with doctoral candidates and young researchers on problems in critical research. The Master Class consisted of four thematic discussions with two examples of ongoing research projects in each discussion. In the afternoon, the workshop opened to a wider audience with three debates based on three presentations.
