Altogether this encompasses nearly 200 individual presentations. Conference guests are invited to attend a guided tour of the Slavonic Library and two evening receptions. The receptions are hosted by the City of Helsinki, as well as the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Russian Studies & the Aleksanteri Institute, University of Helsinki. A book exhibition will take place at the main conference venue (hall 10).

To celebrate the first coffee break of the conference, there will be a live performance by one of the most interesting names in the contemporary music scene in Finland, Lau Nau, aka Laura Naukkarinen.
Lau Nau has been nominated for various music prizes and she has given lectures and workshops on film music in Colorado College and Moscow Film School.
Laura works using both acoustic and electronic instruments, from field recordings to analogue synthesisers. She composes, produces and performs music for films, theatre, dance, and sound installations - and now for our conference!
