The conference is held in Biomedicum Helsinki, the street address is Haartmaninkatu 8. Click here for the exact location on google maps. The venue can be reached easily using the tram number 4 from the city center, or few other trams and many busses. The busses and trams that take you to the conference venue from the city center are too many to list here: to find easy route from your accommodation to the conference venue, please use the Helsinki local traffic travel planner.
Helsinki is easiest reachable by airplane, with direct flights from 314 locations around the world! Additional options are ferries from Stockholm, Sweden and Tallinn, Estonia, and trains from St. Petersburg, Russia. From the Airport, you can take a train straight to city center for 5.50€ (remember to buy your ticket from a vending machine inside the airport terminal as there are no ticket sales on commuter trains).

OPTION 1: TÖÖLÖ TOWERS
Töölö Towers of the University of Helsinki are located in Töölö near the sea, a convenient 10-minute bus ride or a 25-min walking distance from the conference venue. We are holding a limited number (30; 105€ per night) of single rooms and single rooms with kitchen (5; 128€ per night), inclusive of breakfast. These can be booked starting from 8th of January 2018 by emailing the Töölö Towers (unihome (at)helsinki.fi) and using the booking code "MMN2018". OPTION 2: SCANDIC GRAND MARINA HOTEL
Scandic Grand Marina Hotel is located by seaside in Katajanokka, a 25-minute tram ride away from the conference venue. We are holding a limited number of single and double rooms. Website
OPTION 3: HOSTEL DOMUS ACADEMICA
Hostel Domus Academica offers convenient single and double rooms with a bathroom and a kitchenette. Breakfast is served in the restaurant below for 8,5 € per person (not included in the room charge). The hostel is located in the city centre, in Kamppi, a 20-minute bus ride to the conference venue. Please note that the wireless internet is currently being built into the hostel, and it is not yet certain whether it will be operational by the time of the conference. A guest can however rent a router for 5€ (for the entire duration of his/her stay). Also, please note that the discounted prices are available only between June 11th to 17th.
