Evening reception: Tue 14th May 17-19, University of Helsinki, Main Building/Teachers’ Lounge (“Lehtisali”), 2nd floor.

Venue: University of Helsinki's Main Building (Fabianinkatu 33) is situated in the heart of Helsinki's city centre, the symposium venue is adjacent to several major landmarks, including the Senate Square and Helsinki Cathedral; the Market Square; and the shopping streets of Aleksanterinkatu and Esplanade.

How to get there: If you're arriving by public transport, the closest tram stop is Senaatintori (Senate Square) on Aleksanterinkatu, which is served by tram lines 2, 4, 5 and 7. The closest metro stop is Helsingin yliopisto (University of Helsinki). For more information on Helsinki's public transit, see the transportation page: https://reittiopas.hsl.fi/

How to find conference venues: The Main Building has two opposite entrances: the "old side", which faces Senate Square, and the "new side", which is where symposium attendees should enter (Fabianinkatu 33). When you enter through the "new side" of the Main Building two sets of stairs and lifts will take you from the lobby to the the Small Festive Hall (“Pieni juhlasali”), located on the 4th floor.

The first conference day will close with the evening reception. This will be held in the Main Building's Teachers’ Lounge "Lehtisali", which is on the old side of the building on the second floor. The second floor connects the Main Building's old and new sides, just follow the hallway from the lifts.
